.

congratulations!
its a door

Yestermorrow interns once again
prove that we can take anything and make it complicated
in the best way possible

Even a closet door in lobby
composed of scrap wood and random details;
the pull, if you can find it, is an old saw handle

we made the pivot hinges from angle brackets, two threaded bolts, a lag bolt
and a carriage bolt milled and epoxied into hickory blocks.

it all sits on in a 3/4" flange cup with a metal base and 1/8" ball bearings
and a 1/2" dia steel rod drops in through a concealed metal plate in the header.

45 bucks for making your own heavy duty offset pivot hinge
to accomodate a 6" thick scrap wood door you made from trash is pretty good.

Anyways it was fun

Thanks to
Ms. Matt , Mr. Cooper for making my idea into a reality
and for making it better then it would have been
